Chapel Allerton is a large friendly church which meets in a modern building. We have an active Junior Church and Youth Club, regular fellowship groups and place great emphasis on community outreach. We still find plenty of time to enjoy ourselves through regular and varied social activities.

In January 2005 we signed a local covenant with St Matthew's Parish Church. (Click here for the terms of the covenant.) We are increasingly working together with each other, and with our friends in Chapel Allerton Baptist Church and Stainbeck United Reformed Church.

Our church charity for 2017 is Caring for Life, a Christian charity in Leeds that provides care for those who have "slipped through the net". It provides homes for support in the community and therapeutic daytime activities. More information can be found at

Regular Activities


Star Centre

All sections meet in the Methodist Centre Sundays at 10.30 am

The various sections are:

  • Sparklers (for children 5 and under)
  • Shooting Stars (for children over 5)
  • Junior Rocks (when older)

First the Word

A bible study group meets on the first Tuesday evening of every month at 7.30pm.  We use the Methodist Church site to support our study and fellowship. Details of the venue for each meeting can be found in the weekly bulletin.


Prayer Group

We meet for prayer every Wednesday at 9.00am in the church for about half an hour. All are welcome.

Chapel Allerton Churches' Fellowship

The Fellowship is open to all in the Church and in St Matthew's C of E, Chapel Allerton Baptists, Stainbeck URC and the neighbourhood. It meets in the Methodist Centre.
