Sijmen op den Brouw

I am a member and steward of Colton Methodist Church for the last ten years or so. Born in Capelle aan den IJssel (near Rotterdam) in the Netherlands I worked for over three decades at what was first Leeds Polytechnic, later Leeds Metro-politan University and latterly Leeds Beckett University, in a variety of roles including lecturing and data analysis.

I am new to circuit stewarding activities and have not previously had any such role.

In my free time I enjoy travel, history (last century of the Roman Republic, eastern fronts in WW1 & WW2, Arthur the Great's Britain), chess, ancient Greek from Homer to Koine and time spent with my two grandchildren.
