Easter Recording

For our circuit services for Good Firday and Easter we will again be including some music recorded by singers and musicians from across the circuit. We are recording four peices, two for each service. If you would like to take part please check the information below and be sure to get your recording sent in before the 13th March.

THIS LINK will give you access to a OneDrive folder with all the resources. Each folder contains the sheet music for the song as well as a selection of backing tracks for individual parts.

Make sure that you have a listen through and practice a few times before attempting to record if you are at all unsure about singing the harmonies then just go for the melody line – the harmonies are a nice to have.

In order to record your video, you will need to:

• Listen through to the selected part, to make sure you know when to come in.
• You can also record using a laptop if you prefer – the webcam function does allow you to record video.
• (please try to set up so the camera is at eye level.)
• Please sing with earphones/headphones and listen to the audio track for your voice part while recording. (you might need to use a separate device to do this)
• Please leave 5 seconds before and after singing, to help with editing. (If you are able to give an audio cue when the music starts that would also be very helpful.

Once you have recorded your video you can send it to me using Wetransfer or another file sharing system. You can also send video files via WhatsApp to 07538980705.

Most of the songs have a couple of harmonies at different points.
