Emily Young

Hi, I’m Emily and I am the minister for Chapel Allerton, Roscoe and Trinity. Before I was a minister, I was a youth, children’s and families’ worker in London and Oxfordshire, mostly in urban and estates churches. I still enjoy being involved in youth, children’s work and all-age worship, and spending time with people at the opposite end of the age spectrum. In my previous circuit in Birmingham I valued the time I spent leading worship in retirement villages, sheltered housing and care homes.

I enjoy learning more about Methodist History, at the moment mostly researching early nineteenth century women preachers. In my spare time I like making music, at different times I have been involved in orchestras, choirs and bands depending on what has fitted with life and work.
