I am the Financial Circuit Steward (previously known as the Circuit Treasurer). My role in the Circuit is both to assume dayto day responsibility for the financial affairs of the Circuit itself, whilesupporting and advising the local Churches on financial issues.
Birmingham-born but having lived in South Africa for 42 years, my background is in accounting, finance, and tax and have worked in the corporate sector as well as in private practice. I also served in the Methodist Church of Southern Africa as an ordained minister, holding positions on various finance committee positions at District level, a member of the Connexional Finance Unit Executive, and a trustee of the Methodist Supernumerary Fund.
Since relocating to the UK in early-2017, I have lived in Leeds with my wife Belinda
and our son James. Whilst no longer in full-time ministry, I continue to serve the Methodist Church as the Senior Steward and a member of the Gipton Methodist Church, as well as being a Local Preacher.
I am currently employed as an accountant at a commercial and industrial property
company in north-east Leeds.
My other interests include music (listening and singing), tinkering with computers,
writing personal finance and tax articles, a fanatical following of Formula One, and unleashing my inner 9-year-old on stage as part of a local pantomime group based at the Church of the Epiphany in Gipton.
